CargoGuard

Freight Security Features Built Around Your Load

Check the driver and truck before pickup. Follow shipment progress in transit. Keep pickup evidence and delivery records with the load. CargoGuard connects these steps in one freight tracking and security workflow for brokers, 3PLs, and shippers.

One Shipment Workspace. Multiple Security Checks.

CargoGuard connects driver-side tasks with the broker workspace so your team can review identity information, shipment progress, photos, alerts, and documents without treating each record as a separate process.

Before Pickup: Review the Driver and Truck

CargoGuard’s driver verification workflow supports license capture, selfie review, registration information, and related identity checks. Your team compares the available information with the driver and vehicle assigned to the shipment before treating the pickup as routine.

Use geofenced photo verification to keep requested truck and pickup photos with date, time, and location context. Carrier markings, plate details, registration information, and the shipment assignment can be reviewed together when something does not match.

A verification result is not permission to collect any load. Your organization and the pickup facility still confirm the specific assignment and follow established freight-release procedures. See how these checks support double brokering prevention.

In Transit: Follow the Load and Investigate Exceptions

Use real-time freight tracking and load status timeline information to review shipment progress, the latest reported location, timestamps, and shipment events. Check the most recent update before treating a map position as current.

Anti-spoofing GPS checks can surface signs of potential location manipulation for review, while automated shipment alerts help the team identify events that need follow-up. A device change, missing update, route concern, or potential spoofing signal is a reason to investigate; it is not proof that fraud occurred.

For the driver-side experience, review the CargoGuard mobile driver app. The driver follows the tasks requested for the load while the broker or tracking team reviews the shipment from the web workspace.

At Delivery: Keep the Supporting Documents With the Load

With secure document capture, submitted bills of lading, proof-of-delivery records, and other shipment documents can remain associated with the load. Review the paperwork alongside the tracking history, photos, and timeline when a customer or internal team needs to understand what happened.

Arrival at the receiver and receipt of a readable signed proof of delivery are different events. Confirm the records your operation requires before treating the shipment file as complete.

Fit CargoGuard Into Your Existing Operation

Start with a normal load and define who reviews the driver, who follows tracking exceptions, which photos are required, and what documents close the shipment. For a TMS connection, review the Freight Tracking API and confirm the current fields, events, authentication, testing, and implementation requirements with CargoGuard’s technical team.

Review driver-data access, integration security, and downstream-system responsibilities on the Data Security and API Controls page. CargoGuard supports your operating process; it does not replace carrier vetting, release controls, physical security, or the judgment of the people responsible for the freight.

CargoGuard Feature Questions, Answered

What freight security features does CargoGuard bring together?

CargoGuard connects driver verification, truck and pickup photos, shipment tracking, anti-spoofing checks, alerts, timeline events, and document capture in one freight-security workflow.

Does GPS tracking replace driver verification or carrier vetting?

No. A reported device location does not independently prove the driver’s identity, carrier authority, or permission to collect a particular load. Review tracking together with identity checks, carrier information, photos, and your release procedures.

Does CargoGuard decide whether freight can be released?

No. CargoGuard provides shipment and verification information for your team to review. Your organization and the pickup facility remain responsible for resolving discrepancies and following the approved release process.

Can CargoGuard work alongside our TMS?

CargoGuard supports API-based integration, but the exact implementation depends on your TMS, data requirements, events, authentication, and testing. Review the current API documentation before development begins.

Can CargoGuard prevent every cargo theft or fraud attempt?

No. CargoGuard can support verification, tracking, evidence collection, and exception review, but no software platform can guarantee prevention of every theft or fraud event.
